Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the full accounting function, including general ledger accounts and inventory management.
Conduct cost accounting, including analyzing inventory and overhead costs, benchmarking against budgets and industry standards, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting management in cost control.
Handle journal entries, general ledger transactions, and reconciliations.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare weekly and monthly management accounting reports with financial analysis.
Monitor and analyze inventory costs, perform reconciliations, and participate in periodic inventory counts.
Maintain the fixed asset register.
Ensure compliance with SARS regulations, including reviewing vehicle logbooks, maintaining legal compliance, and calculating diesel rebates in line with the Customs & Excise Act.
Prepare the annual budget and support forecasting activities.
Compile audit documents and assist in management account preparation, analyzing performance against budgets and forecasts.
Support the COO, CFO, and Finance Manager with various projects and ad hoc responsibilities.
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with Pastel Evolution Accounting.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
