Responsible position supporting the financial department of a reputable well established company.
Duties :
Capturing the monthly financial data in Xero, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries, and management of the general ledger.
Creation of invoices, credit memos and electronic payments
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Conduct and maintain monthly reconciliations.
Maintain and organize financial documentation and records for easy access and reference.
Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Staff administration, including preparation of payslips.
Other ad hoc duties related to the role.
Qualifications and experience required :
Degree in accounting, finance or a related field
At least 3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (Xero would be beneficial)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows
Strong understanding of IFRS, accounting principles and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to plan, schedule and execute overall responsibilities
