Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking a Finance Accountant to manage the general ledger, month-end close and reporting processes in a dynamic environment. The role covers analysis, budgeting support, and collaboration with commercial teams to provide financial insight across sites and business units.

The successful candidate will have SAIPA Articles plus two years post-articles experience, with strong controls, VAT/tax compliance, and continuous improvement mindset to automate processes.

Qualifications

• SAIPA articles and two years post articles experience required.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close and financial reporting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and trial balance.
• Prepare journals, accruals, provisions and month-end adjustments.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate month-end close and reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Analyze financial performance and variances.
• Provide profitability reporting by customers, site and business unit.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor debtors and creditors.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Support working capital improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong financial controls and audit readiness.
• Assist with VAT, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and group procedures.
• Support operational and commercial teams with financial insight.
• Assist with business cases and financial modelling.
