Job description

Accountant position available in Stikland / Bellville.

Key Performance Areas:

• Asset management.
• Stock management and control.
• Assisting FM with management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
• Assist the Financial Manager with analysis of business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, R&D project expenses and provide advice to lab managers.
• Assist the Financial Manager to monitor record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology (automation).
• Prepare, examine, or analyse accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards within the company.
• Report to Financial Manager and MD regarding any anomaly in the finance department.
• Ensuring that access to financial information is always restricted.
• Delegate filing to the appropriate finance staff member to prevent it from accumulating, and to ensure effective filing management.
• Managing the accounting of product development.
• Flowiz maintenance.

Requirements:

• BCom Degree or equivalent
• Must have completed SAIPA articles with an accounting firm.
• 2+ years’ post articles experience in accounting preferable.
