Account Manager- Taste & Well being - Your future position?

As a 'Account Manager' in Givaudan, you will work for a company that touches billions of consumers more than a hundred times a day. Our passion for our customers - the big food and beverage companies - and their brands brings a new dimension to our Business to Business industry.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional who's a good addition to our Commercial team and has a good knowledge of and network in the Food & Beverage industry in South Africa. You will be part of the Sub Saharan Flavours Sales team and will be based in our Johannesburg office. You will report directly to the Area Sales Manager for SA.

In this exciting role you will:

1. Grow Givaudan's business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines
2. Assist in tracking ADP to ensure sales activity is on schedule and meets success criteria
3. Cultivate and manage customer relationships within portfolio of accounts
4. Monitor customer and competitor activity and maintain customer information
5. Assist in transitioning customer projects/new wins from scale-up to production
6. Assist with negotiating pricing agreements within guidelines and managing credit, pricing, rebates, etc. for key accounts
7. Assist in developing and delivering internal and customer presentations

Your professional profile includes:

1. A Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant discipline
2. 4+ years functional/technical sales experience
3. Understanding of key elements of ADP
4. Ability to develop basic ADPs for key customers
5. Effective usage of KPIs to monitor performance
6. Ability to identify and articulate value drivers for key customers
7. Ability to generate new business, with assistance of experienced account professional
8. Basic understanding of customer strategy, initiatives, priorities, and launch processes
9. Basic understanding of competitor activities with key customers
10. Written and verbal command of English
11. Proficiency in common PC Applications
