Join the Sub Sahara Africa Middle East & South Asia Region PCV Team, dedicated to selling and supporting PCV products in this geographical area. By joining this team, you will have the opportunity to work in a multinational, multicultural, and diverse organization.

Purpose of the Role

To manage client relations to promote and sell products, spare parts, and services in greenfield and brownfield applications related to pumps, cyclones, and valves in the SSAMESA region.

  • Promote and sell products, spare parts, and services in greenfield and brownfield applications.
  • Responsible for growing the PC&V installed base through:
Conversions
  • Rebuild programs
  • Winning site upgrade/expansions
  • Winning capital opportunities
Technical Capabilities
  • Size and select PC&V equipment
  • Identify problems on site with pump and cyclone systems (Process/System knowledge)
  • Understand basic wear patterns
  • Know how each process variable affects the system
  • Maintain up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the entire PC&V offering
  • Implement optimizations of pump and cyclone systems
  • Convey product benefits and value propositions
  • Provide installation, start-up, and rebuild supervision and guidance
  • Work with customers to ensure inventory levels are correct on site and at FLSmidth stocking centers
  • Collaborate with PC&V Site Support Engineers to maintain strong relationships with customers and site personnel
Qualifications
  • NHD BSC or BEng in Engineering
  • At least 8 years of experience within the mining & mineral processing industry
  • At least 5 years in the product line
  • At least 3 years in a business development role with a proven track record
  • Strong ability to build professional relationships with end users, EPCMs, and contractors
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in other regional languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge of selection, sizing, and operating parameters
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and contractors
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills
  • Team player capable of balancing multiple team memberships
