Job summary

A leading company is seeking an Account Manager in Pretoria to manage client relationships and achieve sales targets in the Public & Municipalities sector. Job description

Market the Company, its Products, Solutions, and continuously improve the Client’s perception of the Company.

The Account Manager must have a good understanding of the following:

  1. Strategic direction, Client Procurement cycles and processes, and the competitive landscape.
  2. Provide Clients with continuous Product and Solutions updates.
  3. Responsible for the day-to-day management of current Clients and generating new business.
  4. Achieve Quarterly and Annual Sales Targets.
  5. Maintain and grow market share within the Public & Municipalities, Agencies, and Parastatals Sector.
  6. Provide weekly feedback on pipelines, quotations, and strategic initiatives for projects.
  7. Conduct and submit monthly sales forecasting.
  8. Update Sales Tools and relevant systems, including the Customer Information Sheet.
  9. Make client calls and conduct physical visits—at least once every 2 weeks, with a minimum of 12 client visits per week.
  10. Make telephonic client calls at least once a week. Daily call planning is required for all Accounts allocated.
  11. Prepare and provide quotations to clients upon request.
  12. Follow up on quotations bi-monthly.
  13. Ensure clients are updated on deliveries and order progress as needed.
  14. Provide after-sales support.
  15. Follow up on invoices and payments and attend weekly debtors’ meetings.
  16. Attend product training sessions and ensure internal training is up to date quarterly.
  17. Participate in sales meetings and marketing events.
  18. Assist with tender submissions and handle ad-hoc requests as required.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in a senior sales position within the Public & Municipalities, Agencies, and Parastatals Sector.
  2. Technical Knowledge of the following products:

Centre Solutions (Avaya, Microsoft, Crestron, Extron, Poly, CISCO, Huawei, Yealink, AudioCodes, HP, Dell, VMware).

  1. Should have achieved a target performance of more than 75% over the past 3 years.
