Job Summary

To achieve sales objectives within product range or assigned districts. Pursues sales leads, promotes products, concludes orders, and arranges internal sales logistics. May provide guidance to new sales representatives.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales Calls-Presentations: Visits existing and potential customers, presents product information, quotations, and proposals during various stages of the sales process.
  2. Proposal Development: Prepares formal written proposals for presentation to customers. Coordinates with the Distribution organization and all internal departments to communicate customer requirements during inquiry responses and formal proposals.
  3. Sales Goals: Develops business plans and achievable sales goals with management, covering own and distributor personnel. Provides territorial feedback on marketing regarding current and potential customer needs, competitive offerings, pricing strategies, and programs.
  4. Margin Development: Consults with the Manager on setting margins when needed to promote a sale deviating from guidelines. Investigates and informs management of low or eroding margins when products are competitively priced.
  5. Written Communication: Maintains reports necessary to track inquiries, quotes, and bids.
Basic Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • National Diploma/Bachelor's (Desirable)
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Oracle, etc.
