Duties & Responsibilities
Environment
Manage existing business and drive new business (Hunting & Farming), including performing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses, as the next Account Manager sought by a dynamic ICT Specialist.
Focus on the Public Sector and Private Sector (70/30 split). Collaborate with other departments and technical teams to present and articulate the company's capabilities and value at all levels within the Private Sector.
The ideal candidate will combine excellent sales and consultative skills with an expert understanding of advanced and emerging technologies.
Duties
- Responsible for 60% Hunting and 40% Farming, building strong client relationships to maintain existing business and acquire new customers.
- Ensure sales targets are met.
- Coordinate with various teams to meet customer expectations.
- Upsell the company's services and solutions.
- Serve as the custodian for the Private and Public Sectors to drive overall market share.
- Act as the liaison between the company and customers.
- Manage market segments, customer base, and industry verticals to target.
- Assist in defining and executing the strategic business development plan.
- Manage and identify key customer relationships and pipeline.
- Utilize internal systems to track the entire sales process.
- Attend and report on bi-weekly/monthly meetings.
- Manage relationships with distributors and OEMs.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (Senior Certificate).
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Dell Infrastructure Partner Training.
- 5-7 years of extensive account management and sales experience in the Public Sector within ICT.
- 3-5 years of IT technical sales experience, focusing on ICT infrastructure (Storage, Backup, HCI, Servers, Cabling, Switching, etc.).
- Business development experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales, revenue, and GP targets.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic accounting and/or technical knowledge.
- Understanding of government supply chain processes and tender/bid procedures.
- ICT infrastructure knowledge.
- Business acumen, compliance, and organizational skills.
