Role Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager based in the North West – specifically Rustenburg – who will take ownership of market share for Hilti in all activities within the assigned territory, and further develop profitable sales. This role manages our Platinum Mining client segment - Production or Processing. Our work environment is high performing and supportive.

This is a "bench-role" created to build a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.

Role Responsibilities:

You will develop sales in the assigned territory by utilizing all elements of our sales process to analyze, implement, and control opportunities within the territory to meet targets. You will operate in various settings such as mining sites, construction sites, mining plants, offices, and warehouses.

You will build relationships with all levels—partners, contractors, system integrators, and end users—and actively manage and grow key product sales by targeting appropriate customer groups and introducing new products. Ensuring adequate coverage of both buying and potential customers will be crucial for profitable growth.

You will demonstrate, service, train, and test Hilti products as appropriate. To succeed, you must understand the market thoroughly, know the key players, and gather information on competitors, market prices, new launches, seminars, outlets, quality issues, and product deliveries, reporting monthly on these insights.

What You Need Is:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (advantageous but not mandatory).
  • 3 to 5 years of direct technical sales experience in the mining industry.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
