Role Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager residing in the North West/Limpopo – Thabazimbi, Brits or Bela-Bela areas
specifically, who will take ownership of market share for Hilti for all activities in the assigned territory and further develop profitable sales. This role looks after our Platinum Mining client segment - Production or Processing.

Role Responsibilities:
You will take ownership of the assigned territory to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process to effectively analyze, implement, and control the opportunities within the territory to achieve the targets for the defined market segment. You will operate in various environments such as mining sites, construction sites, mining plants, offices, and warehouses.

You will build fruitful relationships with all levels—partners, contractors, system integrators, and end users—and actively manage and develop the growth of key products within your sales territory by targeting appropriate customer groups and ensuring the successful introduction of new products. You will ensure adequate coverage for both existing and potential customers to develop profitable growth.

You will demonstrate, service, train, and test Hilti products where appropriate; understanding the market thoroughly, knowing the players, and reporting on competition, market prices, new launches, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, and product deliveries in monthly reports.
What You Need Is:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (an advantage but not mandatory).
  • 3 to 5 years of direct technical sales experience in the mining industry.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment, courage, and a competitive drive.
  • A willingness to learn and challenge yourself.
  • Strong technical skills with a focus on customer service for a large client base.
  • Business acumen and good knowledge of the industry and network.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
