Job description

Hunt for new business from new clients and serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and fostering positive relationships. Maintain and grow the existing customer base within the allocated region and meet monthly and annual retention targets.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of Key Account Management or sales experience.
  • Seek and grow new client base in the logistics market for the allocated region and meet set monthly and annual new business targets.
  • Support all aspects of the account relationship as the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints, concerns, and discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer issues effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries via CRM.
  • Generate monthly performance reports to track customer service metrics.
  • Identify root causes of customer issues and implement preventative solutions.
  • Communicate customer feedback and insights to stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations through exceptional service and relationship building.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and grow the client base as per MAS requirements, increasing revenue through additional opportunities.
  • Work closely with Operations to deliver high levels of service.
  • Coordinate with Finance to resolve discrepancies, invoices, and payments.
  • Manage and monitor customer KPIs through data quality processes.
  • Participate in account planning, sales support, and delivery as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Analyze sales data and report weekly to the regional sales manager.
  • Maintain and update client data regularly.
  • Conduct industry and competitor analysis continuously.
  • Assist in tender and proposal preparation and presentation.
  • Create value for customers through innovative approaches.
  • Achieve client call ratio KPIs as set by management to meet retention targets.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint (intermediate level).
  • Advanced skills are advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Essential).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Grow new client base in the distribution market and meet set targets.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Handle monthly billing and financial reporting.
  • Represent the DSV brand.
  • Analyze sales information and report weekly to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Maintain and update client data.
  • Report on industry and competitor analysis.
  • Assist in tender and proposal processes.
  • Create value for customers through innovative solutions.
  • Ensure monthly and cumulative targets are achieved.
  • Communicate signed business to all stakeholders.
  • Manage debtor days within company requirements.
  • Identify cross-silo solutions and collaborate with other departments.
  • Keep client files updated per procedures and QMS.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Update and maintain the internal CRM system.
  • Meet client call ratio KPIs as indicated.
