A great opportunity has arisen in the region for an Account Manager in the international and domestic courier space!

Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Manage and develop customer accounts to maintain favorable relationships. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, budgets, and targets. Secure strategic new business by marketing the company’s services within the geographic boundaries of the assigned region, aligned with the organization’s new business strategy.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Driver’s license with own reliable transport
  • Tertiary qualification in sales or marketing (advantageous)
  • Experience in the logistics industry (beneficial)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of business principles (financial, operational, customer experience)
  • At least 3-5 years experience in sales or customer engagement with a proven track record in a target-driven environment

Key Duties
  • Achieve monthly and annual targets
  • Resolve account queries promptly and ensure accounts are settled within terms
  • Identify new distribution opportunities to increase revenue
  • Complete weekly sales reports
  • Increase existing client spend and train clients on products and services
  • Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Oversee query resolution and implement proactive solutions for customer satisfaction
  • Sell and implement value-added services
  • Negotiate annual rate increases
  • Analyze and present monthly KPI reports with recommendations
  • Identify and act on opportunities within the market and existing client base
  • Secure new sales opportunities and exceed sales targets
  • Conduct needs analysis and propose customized solutions
  • Manage credit applications and new account openings in line with company policy
