Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager with the ability to travel as per the requirements of the role, to look after our Mining client base. The successful team member will take ownership of market share for Hilti for all activities — and further develop profitable sales.

This is a “bench role” which exists for the purpose of talent pipeline creation to address our future hiring needs as they become active.

Role Responsibilities :

You will take ownership of the assigned territory to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process to effectively analyze, implement, and control opportunities within the territory to achieve the targets for the defined market segment. You will be active in various locations such as construction sites, industrial plants, offices, and warehouses within the Mining segment.

  • You will build fruitful working relationships with all levels — partners, contractors, system integrators, and end users. You will actively manage and develop the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting appropriate customer groups and ensuring the successful introduction of new products. You will ensure adequate coverage for both existing and potential customers to foster profitable growth.

You will demonstrate, service, train, and (where appropriate) test Hilti products. To be successful, you must thoroughly understand the market and its players, gather information on competitors, market prices, new launches, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, and product deliveries, and report findings in monthly reports.

What you need is :

To be successful in this role, you will need :

  • Completed degree or diploma (preferred but not essential).
  • Relevant sales or technical sales experience in sectors such as Mining, Construction, or Heavy Industry.
  • Proficiency in SFDC or SAP CRM7.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • A strong drive to meet performance targets consistently.
  • An agile, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong business acumen and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
