Job description

Job Title: Account Manager, Health Systems

In this role, you will develop and drive credible and productive long-term relationships with customers by understanding their business needs and providing tailored value propositions. You will act as the orchestrator of relationships with accounts, focusing on credible and productive Private and government segment accounts, particularly in the KZN province in South Africa.

In this role, you will:

  1. Develop, maintain, and improve relations with a limited number of key accounts to position Philips as the preferred supplier.
  2. Grow the Public Sector Accounts business for Health Systems through strategic key account management plans and building strong relationships within the government segment, along with effective stakeholder management and engagement.
  3. Represent Philips Health Systems at key government engagement forums to unlock health technology opportunities.
  4. Coordinate all Philips efforts with the accounts to maximize the sales group's output.
  5. Create, with marketing, services, and supply chain teams, the optimal offers for the accounts.
  6. Develop a two-year account plan translating budgeted targets into specific strategies and actions per account, as part of the operational plan of the sales group.
  7. Implement action programs with the accounts to improve Philips' performance.
  8. Drive the account team’s performance to achieve objectives, systematically analyze and report sales results, market trends, competition, and make proposals for improvement.

You're the right fit if you possess:

  1. A university degree with at least 5 years of successful sales or account management experience within healthcare or imaging solutions.
  2. Ideally, a radiography background.
  3. Experience in channel partner management.
  4. Experience in building and executing account strategies.
  5. Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  6. A proven track record of cultivating strong customer relationships with key decision-makers, including C-suite executives.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence at the company’s facilities. Field roles are typically performed outside the main facilities, at customer or supplier locations.
