Job description

Location: Cape Town area
Industry: Established electronic engineering and manufacturing company
Training: Company will provide training on different electronic components
Salary: R18k – R40k p/m neg on experience
Benefits: Provident fund, medical aid & fuel allowance
Type: Full-time position
Start date: ASAP

Main role:

Establish and maintain business relationships with new and current customers in the electronic engineering & manufacturing industry.


Qualifications and skills:
  1. Completed Grade 12
  2. Suitable technical qualification and/or experience in electronic engineering (Light Current).
  3. Two or more years’ experience in account management & customer relationship building
  4. Computer literate, MS Office, especially in Excel (Spreadsheets)
  5. Ability to liaise with managers, engineers and technical staff.
  6. Strong attention to detail and ability to complete projects.
  7. Strong sales & relationship building skills
  8. Strong aptitude for figures & accuracy
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Presentable & groomed
  11. Bilingual skills.
  12. Valid driver’s license.
  13. Own reliable transport

Duties:
  1. Establish, develop & maintain business relationships with existing and new customers in the electronic engineering & manufacturing industry.
  2. Visit current and prospective customers to maintain and generate new business.
  3. Work with members of the sales team
  4. Assist design engineers in selecting suitable electronic parts for new designs.
  5. Identify and offer replacement parts for existing designs to engineers and buyers.
  6. Analyse the market for developing new potential customers.
  7. Achieve account growth by effectively marketing all product lines.
  8. Supply management with regular verbal or written reports as to customer potential, prospects, new products, competitive activities, requirements, lost orders or any problems that may arise.
