KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this role successfully, the incumbent must be able to:
- Provide purpose-fit solutions through an understanding of specific client needs related to Metrofile's services.
- Engage regularly with clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Act as the primary contact between clients and Metrofile for:
- Negotiating prices within the Authority Framework
- Providing customized solutions
- Resolving problems and issues
- Stay informed of market and competitor trends, and update the Sales Manager / Sector Head accordingly.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of clients in your portfolio.
- Stay informed about legislative requirements related to document and records management.
- Classify client information effectively for quick and accurate retrieval.
- Manage documentation and records as per the client's document retention strategy, informing clients of past due dates.
- Report on overdue boxes quarterly.
- Develop Account Plans with the Sales Manager / Sector Head to leverage new opportunities and retain customers.
- Report sales and service statistics weekly.
- Ensure the service provided meets customer needs and identify new leads within your Sector.
- Resolve escalated inquiries or queries promptly and communicate concerns regarding service delivery to Operations and management, ensuring remediation.
- Service your portfolio adequately to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the integrity of clients' portfolio data.
- Assist in preparing and presenting business proposals to existing and potential clients.
- Maintain close relationships with the Sector Head to capitalize on opportunities.
- Handle, resolve, and report issues, concerns, and complaints related to your portfolio or clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE
The requirements below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 3-year Degree/Diploma/Higher Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Retail Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in sales/business development, preferably in Information Services, Warehousing, Logistics, or similar fields.
- A postgraduate qualification in business administration is highly advantageous.
- Account management experience in document management, archival, or related industry sales is preferable.
- Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience is required.
- Proven track record of delivering high-level sales presentations.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets quarterly and annually.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Drive and enthusiasm for sales.
- Hardworking and solutions-oriented.
- Team player.
- Strong business acumen, capable of engaging with senior and top management.
- Willingness to travel between sites/clients.
- Highly proficient in computer skills.
- Experience in tender document preparation.
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
