SUMMARY
This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, guiding them on legal, administrative, and corporate activities for their companies. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining corporate and legal structures, generating revenue through value-charging activities, promoting products and services, and growing the business through existing and new clients via referrals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage client portfolios and advise on corporate services, including setup and administration of structures and governance services.
- Work directly with clients to analyze and interpret regulations, procedures, and documents related to legal and fiscal opportunities.
- Participate in business growth and marketing efforts, both with existing clients and through client referrals.
- Administer a portfolio of companies, limited partnerships, and trusts in compliance with legislation.
- Oversee and approve minutes of shareholder meetings, proxies, and attendance lists.
- Coordinate tax, administrative, and banking issues with the Client Accounting Department.
- Understand client activities thoroughly and ensure actions align with the company's purpose within legal and economic frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files.
- Monitor and review weekly productivity and performance to meet targets.
- Record chargeable time and service value using Maconomy for invoicing.
- Ensure correspondence complies with signatory authority.
- Handle payment issues and collection of outstanding invoices.
- Adhere to "Know Your Customer" and compliance requirements.
- Follow internal procedures for data recording and use of automated programs.
- Update local policies and procedures in line with regulations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, Tax, or related fields; additional qualifications are a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate or financial services, preferably with international exposure. Company secretary or law qualifications are highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of financial legislation, including international requirements like CRS, FATCA, BEPS, GAAR, ESR.
- Commercial mindset, initiative, positivity, dedication, and revenue focus.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, fluency in English; additional languages are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment, with leadership qualities and ambition.
- Knowledge of operational efficiency and quality management issues.
