Job description

Is responsible for proactively managing existing customers, building and nurturing relationships within a defined territory. The position requires an experienced and driven salesperson with expertise in software sales who will be responsible for driving new sales across LexisNexis solutions lines. The salesperson's main accountabilities will be to proactively prospect, qualify, and close renewal, upsell, and cross-sell sales opportunities. You will be the lead on deals and be seen by customers as a subject matter expert. The role works in close partnership with internal and external partners to proactively drive growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Achieving Target - Grow existing accounts with current and new products that add value to the customer and increase revenue. Ensure that allocated clients are renewed.
  2. Managing Relationships - Establish meaningful relationships with all customers in the territory, both virtually and in person.
  3. Planning - Develop an annual strategic plan for the territory covering all customers.
  4. Managing Opportunities - Effectively manage the sales pipeline and forecast accurately across multiple opportunities. Progress opportunities through sales stages: Prospect, Connect, Discover, Develop, Propose, Contract, Close. Structure, negotiate, and close deals.
  5. Product Knowledge - Maintain a solid understanding of customer and market trends relevant to the industry.
  6. Reporting - Provide customer insights and analysis as required. Record all interactions with clients in the CRM system.
Requirements
  1. Solid experience in account management and relationship management.
  2. Good relationship and account management experience, ideally within legal, SaaS, compliance, risk, or software services sales industries. B2B selling experience is essential.
  3. Experience using solution-based and consultative selling approaches.
  4. Ability to manage a territory and engage with stakeholders at the executive level, nurturing relationships strategically.
  5. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to write complex correspondence and proposals.
  7. Self-starter with a proven track record in a quota-driven sales environment.
  8. Comfortable presenting face-to-face and via online platforms.
