Role Purpose / Business Unit
To manage strategic key accounts, maintain long-term & healthy relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, with the primary objective to drive profitable and long-term revenue growth, customer experience & satisfaction, and increased market share on the respective portfolio. This is achieved through effective service delivery, protection/renewal of existing business, and identifying new sales opportunities across various product and solution offerings.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and implement account strategies to meet financial targets, including revenue, connections for voice and data, market share, and net margin contribution.
- Manage the P&L for the portfolio.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers up to C Level, leveraging these relationships to create value and new business opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and requirements thoroughly.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying potential markets and new opportunities.
- Retain and grow business through major sales opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and influence resource allocation within Vodacom SA / Group.
- Ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with all functions within Vodacom to align on the Premier client network agenda.
- Prepare and share Account Plans with stakeholders.
- Manage complex sales opportunities and escalation of customer complaints.
- Resolve sales and pricing claims proactively and assist finance in recovering overdue payments.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and services aligned with customer needs.
- Maintain communication between customers and internal teams, resolving issues to sustain trust.
- Generate new sales and foster long-lasting relationships.
- Report on customer and market trends, forecast revenue, and prepare regular progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Degree or equivalent; Post Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Commerce, or related field is advantageous.
- At least 7 years of sales and service experience in telecommunications or technology-related environments.
- Experience in portfolio management, solution selling within enterprise customers, and building relationships with decision-makers.
- Proven track record of managing multi-industry sales and achieving profitable revenue growth.
- Ability to influence at C-level.
