Role Purpose / Business Unit

To manage strategic key accounts, maintain long-term & healthy relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, with the primary objective to drive profitable and long-term revenue growth, customer experience & satisfaction, and increased market share on the respective portfolio. This is achieved through effective service delivery, protection/renewal of existing business, and identifying new sales opportunities across various product and solution offerings.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales & Stakeholder Management
  2. Develop and implement account strategies to meet financial targets, including revenue, connections for voice and data, market share, and net margin contribution.
  3. Manage the P&L for the portfolio.
  4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers up to C Level, leveraging these relationships to create value and new business opportunities.
  5. Understand customer needs and requirements thoroughly.
  6. Drive revenue growth by identifying potential markets and new opportunities.
  7. Retain and grow business through major sales opportunities.
  8. Develop strong relationships with key customers and influence resource allocation within Vodacom SA / Group.
  9. Ensure effective service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  10. Collaborate with all functions within Vodacom to align on the Premier client network agenda.
  11. Prepare and share Account Plans with stakeholders.
  12. Manage complex sales opportunities and escalation of customer complaints.
  13. Resolve sales and pricing claims proactively and assist finance in recovering overdue payments.
  14. Ensure timely delivery of products and services aligned with customer needs.
  15. Maintain communication between customers and internal teams, resolving issues to sustain trust.
  16. Generate new sales and foster long-lasting relationships.
  17. Report on customer and market trends, forecast revenue, and prepare regular progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Degree or equivalent; Post Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Commerce, or related field is advantageous.
  • At least 7 years of sales and service experience in telecommunications or technology-related environments.
  • Experience in portfolio management, solution selling within enterprise customers, and building relationships with decision-makers.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-industry sales and achieving profitable revenue growth.
  • Ability to influence at C-level.
