Job description

The role of the Account Manager is to study signed customer contracts, build project plans specific to those contracts, manage the projects, identify growth and solution opportunities, explore contract renewal possibilities, and ensure proper contract close-out.

The role also involves optimizing individual and team performance. With a starting Cost to Company of between R13,000 and R26,000 per month, we are seeking individuals who value strategic planning, problem-solving, customer satisfaction, and working in an innovative environment.

AS AN ACCOUNT MANAGER AT DOTACTIV, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
  1. Engaging with customers and conducting scoping sessions;
  2. Preparing data and briefing the scanner regarding supported duties;
  3. Receiving scanner input and managing data accordingly;
  4. Utilizing data to plan and build a Shelf Plan;
  5. Obtaining customer approval and handing over the Shelf Plan;
  6. Building and managing project plans;
  7. Exploring contract renewal or extension opportunities;
  8. Identifying growth and solution opportunities;
  9. Managing contract close-outs properly;
  10. Filing all related documents and ensuring administrative excellence;
  11. Optimizing individual and team performance, including all HR functions.

You will have access to DotActiv's all-in-one category management software to support these activities.

Skills and Requirements:
Education, Skills, and Computer Skills:
  • A degree in Consumer Science, Commerce, or similar from a recognized university;
  • Proficiency in English (spoken, read, and written at a business level);
  • 2-3 years of relevant business and staff management experience, preferably in retail;
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle for on-site client meetings;
  • A working Windows laptop (Macs are not supported).

Additional knowledge includes general retail experience, business acumen, understanding of category management principles, space planning, merchandising, and product knowledge. Computer literacy in Google G-Suite and familiarity with DotActiv's systems are also required.
