Technical Skills

1. Microsoft Power Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows) for process automation. Experience with Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps) for building low-code applications. Familiarity with Power Virtual Agents for chatbot automation.
2. Workflow & Process Automation: Designing, building, and optimizing automated workflows using Power Automate. Experience in integrating Microsoft services (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Planner). Creating automated solutions involving Dataverse, SQL Server, and external APIs. Knowledge of UI flows and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for automating legacy applications.
3. Scripting & Custom Connectors: Strong understanding of Power Automate expressions and formulas. Experience with JSON, REST APIs, and OData for data integration. Developing and managing custom connectors to integrate third-party services.
4. Security & Governance: Implementing role-based access control (RBAC) in Power Automate. Understanding DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies in Power Platform.
5. Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization: Debugging failed flows using Power Automate logs and analytics. Optimizing workflow efficiency by minimizing API calls and using parallel processing. Knowledge of retry policies, error handling, and exception management. Experience working in Agile environments with tools like Azure DevOps. Ability to document workflows, processes, and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions (ALM).
6. Industry Knowledge & Business Process Understanding: Familiarity with business process automation (BPA) principles. Understanding industry-specific workflows in finance, healthcare, or government sectors. Ability to translate business requirements into automated solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Designing and Developing Automated Workflows: Create, optimize, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows). Develop end-to-end automation solutions integrating Microsoft, SharePoint, Dataverse, and third-party applications. Implement RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to automate manual and legacy system tasks.
2. Integration and Customization: Integrate Power Automate with various data sources, including SQL Server, APIs, JSON, OData, and Microsoft Graph. Develop custom connectors to extend Power Automate capabilities for unique business requirements. Ensure seamless communication between Power Automate and Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.
3. Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Diagnose and resolve workflow failures using Power Automate monitoring tools and logs. Optimize flows by reducing API calls, enhancing query performance, and implementing error handling. Implement retry policies and exception handling to ensure automation reliability.
4. Agile Development and Continuous Improvement: Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives. Continuously explore new Power Automate features and emerging automation trends. Implement CI/CD pipelines for managing Power Platform solutions efficiently.
