The Learning and Teaching Hub in the Dean's Office of the Economic and Management Sciences Faculty at Stellenbosch University (SU) supports the Faculty in providing a transformative educational student experience through the delivery of educational quality, curriculum development and renewal, student-centred learning and teaching, and effective assessment practices. It aids in the design of programmes and modules aligned with accreditation standards, staff and student development, provides academic advising support, and assists with the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning and assessment. It also strives to use data-driven strategic planning to support continuous improvement and align academic practices with Faculty/institutional goals.

Die Leer- en Onderrig Hub in die Dekaanskantoor van die Fakulteit Ekonomiese en Bestuurswetenskappe aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) ondersteun die Fakulteit in die verskaffing van 'n transformerende opvoedkundige studente-ervaring deur die lewering van opvoedkundige kwaliteit, kurrikulumontwikkeling en -vernuwing, student-gesentreerde leer en onderrig, en effektiewe assesseringspraktyke. Dit help met die ontwerp van programme en modules wat belyn is met akkreditasie standaarde, akademiese ontwikkeling van personeel en studente, verskaf akademiese advies ondersteuning, en help met die integrasie van tegnologie om onderrig en leer en assessering te verbeter. Dit streef ook daarna om data-gedrewe strategiese beplanning te gebruik om deurlopende verbetering te ondersteun en akademiese praktyke te belyn met Fakulteits- en institusionele doelwitte.

Duties/Pligte

  • Leading and coordinating the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programme and curriculum renewal tasks and projects for the Faculty.
  • Coordinating, driving, and administering all relevant funding opportunities related to academic programmes.
  • Serving as the secretariat of the Teaching and Learning Committee in the Faculty, ensuring effective communication, accurate record-keeping, and timely execution of action items.
  • Responsible for ensuring that programmes are maintained and aligned with institutional policies, regulations, and systems.
  • Responsible for managing the annual Faculty yearbook revision project.
  • Coordinating and steering Faculty contribution to institutional academic projects, such as SAQA reaccreditation.

  • Koördineer, dryf en administreer alle toepaslike befondsingsgeleenthede wat verband hou met akademiese programme.
  • Koördineer en dryf fakulteitsbydrae tot institusionele akademiese projekte, soos SAQA-herakkreditasie.


Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification at NQF level 8.
  • At least five years' experience in a higher education institution, with a focus on learning, teaching and assessment.
  • Proven experience in programme/curriculum renewal or programme/curriculum development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all academics, professional support staff and external stakeholders.
  • Good presentation, training, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently, but also to apply a team approach.
  • Toepaslike nagraadse kwalifikasie op NKR-vlak 8.
  • Minstens vyf jaar se ervaring in 'n hoëronderwysinstelling, met 'n fokus op leer, onderrig en assessering.
  • Bewese ervaring in program/kurrikulum vernuwing of program/kurrikulum ontwikkelingsinisiatiewe.
