Placements24 seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) for its Richards Bay operations. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs to keep fleet airworthy and ready for service.

You will interpret manuals, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards. The role requires a valid SA CAA Part 66 license and at least five years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, with strong troubleshooting ability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Aircraft Mechanic license SA CAA Part 66 with A&P ratings.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and teamwork mindset.
• Familiarity with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to safe, organized work in Richards Bay.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled airframe and engine inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Diagnose and rectify aircraft system malfunctions (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, powerplants).
• Overhaul, repair, and replace aircraft components as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in logbooks and systems.
• Ensure all work complies with aviation regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to ensure timely completion.
