Detailed Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

1. Execute a physical security assurance programme and related services to ensure that the SARB Group's security system readiness and quality is appropriately assessed.
2. Review the configuration and design of electronic security systems to identify and address risks and vulnerabilities.
3. Support the development of security system configurations and standards.
4. Provide guidance and advice on security system, infrastructure and process designs.
5. Assess conformance and compliance to relevant policies, standards and good practices.
6. Analyse and provide management with information on the overall security readiness, governance and compliance.
7. Provide a quality assurance service for security system projects.
8. Lead the development of standards and guidelines to remediate deficiencies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

1. a Bachelor’s degree in Security or Security Risk Management (NQF 7), or an equivalent qualification/certification;
2. a minimum of ten years’ working experience in security, compliance and security risk management (preferably with experience in the financial services and cash management sector), of which at least five years are in a security design or assessment/assurance capacity;
3. a proven track record in system quality assurance and evaluation;
4. good working knowledge of enterprise security architecture and security design;
5. a strong grounding in modern security technology and practices;
6. project management experience, ideally in both technology projects and construction projects;
7. advanced report-writing and product quality management skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel); and
8. the ability to lead both operational interactions and operational/technical processes.
