Job summary

Charlton Kings is seeking a dedicated home-based support worker in Cape Town to assist clients in daily living tasks and promote independence. You would travel to clients’ homes to help with washing, dressing, shopping, meal preparation, medication prompting, daily routines, respite care, social activities, and community access, all with a person-centered approach.

Applicant should show empathy, reliability, and respect for clients’ dignity, while adapting to individual care plans and safety

Qualifications

• Experience providing in-home assistance to adults.

• Good communication and observation skills.

Job description

You would be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our clients, in a way that respects the individual and promotes their independence. You would be expected to travel to the client's home and assist them with daily tasks as agreed between the client and Charlton Kings.

The type of support that you would be providing is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person's family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or domestic support.
