Job description

Are you a skilled 3D Modeller with experience in heavy industry, mining, or mineral processing? Do you have a passion for precision, innovation, and delivering top-tier designs? Redheads Engineering Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Inventor 3D Modeller to join our Projects Team.

What You’ll Do

• Create 3D models of chutes, bins, mechanical components, and platework using Autodesk Inventor.
• Generate 2D drawings from 3D models for general arrangement, fabrication, and engineering purposes.
• Ensure all designs meet client specifications and project standards.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Design Coordinator and interface with subcontractors.
• Present 3D models to clients and manage related review feedback.
• Contribute to project tenders and provide technical input to achieve project deliverables.
• Uphold best practices in draughting and promote excellence within the design team.

What You Need

Qualifications:

• NQF4 General Draughting Certificate (minimum)
• Autodesk Inventor Essentials (required)

Experience:

• 3–5 years as a Mechanical, Piping, or Structural 3D Modeller on EPCM/EPC projects
• Experience in chute and bin layout design within mining or heavy construction
• Work in a structured design office environment

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (non-negotiable)
• Advantageous: AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Soft Skills:

• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Organisational ability to manage project data in cloud environments (e.g., SharePoint)
