What are we looking for?
  • B ED / BA / BSC / Post Graduate Certificate of Education.
  • SACE Registered.
  • 1 – 2 years' Grade Head experience.
  • Must be able to teach Afrikaans FAL.
  • Clear criminal record.
The responsibilities are:
  • Grade planning, administration, and academics
  • Collate and communicate grade planning schedule across the grade and manage the execution thereof.
  • Create and distribute the termly plans and assessment plans for the grade.
  • Create and distribute the staff duties plan and afternoon academic plan.
  • Maintain and update all information related to events, incidents, absenteeism, and issues across the grade.
  • Manage absenteeism and review teacher comments on reports, suggesting corrections before submission.
  • Manage weekly meetings, filter relevant information, and discuss grade requirements with teachers.
  • Mentor and manage tutor teachers, including appraisals and policy guidance.
  • Implement policies and manage learner discipline and intervention plans.
  • Plan and execute grade events, manage budgets, and coordinate student participation.
  • Plan and manage assessments, homework, and classroom setup for optimal learning.
  • Coordinate extramural activities, attend practices, fixtures, and outings.
  • Participate in phase and grade meetings.
