Brookside College is located in Caroline Springs on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and the Kulin Nation. Founded in 2000, Brookside College became a separate legal entity in 2012, gaining a reputation for community-minded learning and inclusive education.

Selection Criteria

1. SC1: Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy skills.
2. SC2: Experience in planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating their effectiveness.
3. SC3: Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.
4. SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students, parents, and the community.
5. SC5: Behaviors consistent with Department values and commitment to professional learning.

Responsibilities

The role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals;
• Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;
• Participating in school activities such as meetings, camps, and excursions;
• Undertaking other supervisory duties as required.

Who May Apply

Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified in the curriculum area(s) specified.
