Job description

Plastic Molding Mechanical Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Tulsa, OK

Salary: Open — Dependent upon qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate will have prior mechanical maintenance experience with a basic knowledge that includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic processes.

Experience with extrusion, PET, and injection blow molding processing is a plus. Qualified candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal, and written communication skills.

Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Competitive pay with great company benefits and bonuses.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Work with others in a positive and constructive manner.
  2. Dependable with excellent attendance.
  3. Take direction well and work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  4. Monitor operations.
  5. Perform machine setups to approved processing parameters.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve daily production and technical processing issues.
  7. Assist in training team members.
  8. Ensure products meet or exceed all quality requirements.
  9. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following all safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  10. Perform and complete preventive maintenance on equipment regularly.
  11. Help monitor and maintain a spare parts inventory.
  12. Maintain and enforce a clean environment.
  13. Maintain and repair equipment, providing preventative and cost-efficient repairs.
Work Shift:

Monday through Friday, with some overtime on weekdays and weekends as needed.

Shift Details:

2nd shift: 3:00 pm - 11:06 pm. Must be available for overtime on short notice.

Environment:

Climate-controlled, safety food-grade facility in a clean manufacturing environment.

Required Education / Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of thermoplastic processing experience.
  • Preferred: Ability to operate industrial equipment.
Competencies:
  • Read and understand written English.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Operate equipment safely and proficiently.
Physical Demands:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Bending, crouching, reaching, climbing, lifting up to 60 pounds, grasping.
