Join a UK-based managed services provider scaling its technical support operation in Cape Town. We’re hiring an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to work on-site supporting UK clients across a wide range of technologies.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering exposure to enterprise-grade tools and a tight-knit technical support environment focused on quality resolution—not call volume.

Responsibilities
  • Handle ticket escalations from L1 support across multiple UK clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across:
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, network devices
  • VPN, firewalls, virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
  • Deliver fast, effective, and documented resolutions
  • Communicate clearly with clients in professional English
  • Maintain internal knowledge bases and ticket documentation
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, and SharePoint
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, VPN, Windows OS
  • Good grasp of firewalls, switches, and networking basics
  • Excellent English communication (written + verbal)
  • Able to work UK hours (08:00–18:00 SAST)
Nice to Have
  • VMware or Hyper-V experience
  • Microsoft Azure fundamentals
  • MAC OS support
  • Certifications like A+, MS-900, AZ-900
