Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Chief Engineer in all aspects of the vessel's engineering operations On Board Cruise Ship

- Oversee and maintain the vessel's machinery, engines, and equipment

- Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the vessel is in good working condition

- Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise

- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures

- Train and mentor junior engineering crew members

- Assist with inventory and ordering of spare parts and supplies

- Communicate effectively with other departments and crew members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

- Valid 2nd Engineer license/certificate

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer

- Extensive knowledge of marine engineering systems and equipment

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Flexibility to work long hours and be on call as needed

- Must be physically fit and able to perform duties in a marine environment

- Valid STCW and ENG1 medical certificates
