Job summary

Imizizi is seeking a senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to drive the product vision and translate business needs into a prioritized backlog. You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure backlog health, and lead agile ceremonies to deliver value across programs.

The role requires deep BA experience, strong communication, and expertise in Jira/Confluence, cloud awareness (AWS), and SDLC practices within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analysis or similar experience, 6+ on custom developed solutions.
• Agile working experience is mandatory.
• Analyse, translate and communicate business requirements.
• Understand Cloud Computing (AWS) and SDLC principles.
• Knowledge of integration between different technologies and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Implement the product vision and roadmap.

• Maximise product value within capacity per sprint and measure feature team performance.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Proxy Product Ownership/Sub-Product Ownership experience


• Stakeholder Management, upward and downward


• Jira and Confluence


• Deep knowledge of project management skills


• ITPM knowldge


• 8+ years Business Analysis or similar experience of which 6+ must be on custom developed solutions.


• Agile working experience (Mandatory).


• Analyse, translate and communicate business requirements.


• Understanding of Cloud Computing (AWS).


• Understanding Software Development Cycle.


• Understand integration between different technologies.


• Identify, Assess and Mitigate risks.


• JIRA and Confluence.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Basic Cloud Certification (any Cloud Service Provider)


• Excellent usage of MS Office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement the product vision and roadmap.


• Research, understand and evaluate product requirements on the part of business and translate them into high quality product backlog items.


• Structure and prioritise business requirements and communicate plans with stakeholders for review and approval.


• Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes.


• Maximizing product value within the available internal/external capacity per sprint and measure performance of these feature teams.


• Product Backlog Health -Assesses the readiness of backlog items, ensuring they are well-defined and estimated.


• Release Burndown -Monitors the progress towards completing the items planned for the release.


• Create transparency regarding resources, requirements, competencies and implementation status to Products and Domains.


• Technical escalation to the Product Owner, including facilitating end-to-end discussions with other Product Owners, if necessary.


• Escalation of conflicts, based on user requirements, in the Product vision to the respective Product Owner: system specific for content escalation and all Product owners for capacity escalations.


• Adhere to the Agile Working Methodology


• Daily use of the Agile Tool Chain and content-wise steering of all team meetings, including Stand-ups, Sprint


• Review, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Planning meetings, etc.


• Determine acceptance criteria/definition of done and evaluate the developed product scope, decision regarding release or rework in the product backlog.


• Identify improvements to the Product Owner regarding the Product Owner hierarchy, including the Feature


• Teams as well as all relevant internal functions at the company and external partners, if necessary.


• Identify improvements in AWM execution towards the responsible Agile Master.


• Support the development, implementation and follow-up of methods, processes and standards for the


• provision of services in compliance with the law.


• Take consultative approach to challenge customers’ requested solution design, should a better alternative exist.
