Detailed Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
- Develop, maintain, and embed SARB Group compliance management frameworks, methodologies, processes, systems, and related policies.
- Develop risk management quality criteria and perform quality reviews on risk management outcomes.
- Identify, collate, analyze, and report on legislative developments affecting the SARB Group.
- Assess the impact of emerging compliance risks and report thereon.
- Identify training needs, develop a compliance risk management training plan, and conduct training sessions.
- Facilitate compliance risk management processes for priority 1 legislation in accordance with the SARB Group Compliance Management Framework.
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of compliance risk treatment action plans and report outcomes to executives and oversight committees.
- Lead the development of the regulatory universe for the SARB Group and embed compliance risk management practices.
- Create compliance and regulatory risk awareness campaigns to educate stakeholders and promote a proactive compliance culture.
- Analyze risk data to identify trends and insights, enabling informed decision-making.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to effectively manage compliance risks.
- Research and benchmark leading compliance risk management practices for continuous improvement.
- Understand the internal and external environment to identify risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of risk management policies, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Monitor progress of risk treatment plans and report impacts on risks.
- Promote a positive organizational culture and manage team performance and development.
- Oversee integration of RMCD with other risk areas.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- An Honours degree (NQF 8) in Compliance Management, Risk Management, Auditing, or an equivalent qualification.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, including at least three years in a supervisory role in environments such as audit, IT, or risk management.
Additional Advantages
- Compliance Practitioner (SA) certification and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists certification.
- Experience in Accounting / Financial Services sectors.
