EDGE is seeking an EW System Engineer to define, integrate, and verify electronic warfare capabilities by translating mission needs into system requirements, architectures, and processing functions across the full lifecycle.

The role involves rigorous system engineering tasks, travel, and collaboration with international partner facilities within EDGE’s defence and space sector.

Formación

• Recent graduates or PhD candidates in engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Desirable Master’s degree in electronic engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or telecommunications.

Responsabilidades

• Identify the customer’s operational requirements and translate into technical requirements.
• Define the system architecture to satisfy identified technical requirements.
• Define and evaluate high-level technical requirements and subdivide into functional, performance, mechanical and interface requirements.
• Draft technical project documentation.
• Integrate, validate and qualify the system.
• Perform final verification and testing with the customer.
• Coordinate platform installation activities and provide operational test support.
• Manage project planning and execution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an EW System Engineer at FADA you will define, integrate, and verify electronic warfare capabilities by translating mission needs into system requirements, architectures, signal-processing functions, and operational performance across the full system lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identification of the customer's operational requirements and translation into technical requirements
• Definition of the system architecture suitable to satisfy the identified technical requirements
• Definition and evaluation of high-level technical requirements and subdivision into functional, performance, mechanical and interface requirements
• Drafting of the technical project documentation
• Integration, Validation and Qualification of the system
• Final verification and testing with the customer
• Platform installation activities and operational test support
• Project and planning management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Brilliant and motivated graduates, PhD students, PhDs in the faculties of engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, interested in the position of System Engineer to be included in the company operating in the space sector
• Availability for national and international travel. The job requires frequent travel abroad to the partner facilities.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
• Desirable Master's degree in electronic engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or telecommunications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of Radar, EW, Digital Signal Processing, RF microwave, Antenna concept
• Design, integration and validation of EW and Radar electronic systems
• Experience of the systems engineering life cycle, from development and requirements management through to acceptance testing
• Analysis and development of models and algorithms with MATLAB/SIMULINK or equivalent
• Desired project management ability in terms of resources, time and costs
