Save the Children Venezuela seeks a Programme Director and External Engagement to lead the design and delivery of the country office's programmatic and localization strategy, fundraising, and advocacy. The role manages four units and ensures program quality, while serving as the in-country focal point for relationships with donors, partners, and the SC movement.

Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory; based in Caracas.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years in international contexts with humanitarian programs or partnerships.
• Senior country leadership experience preferred (Deputy Country Director, Head of Programs, Senior Director, etc.).
• Strong analytical, negotiation and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
• Experience in localization, donors, and country program development.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, performance, and risk across a country office.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and delivery of the Country Strategic Plan and localization strategy.
• Oversee annual needs assessments and country priority setting.
• Coordinate program quality with MEAL and other units and monitor progress.
• Represent Save the Children with government, donors, UN, and partners.
• Drive risk management, emergency preparedness, and compliance.
• Coach and develop staff, with focus on nationalization of positions.
