Flowserve is seeking a technically strong Buyer to manage procurement of industrial materials, equipment, and services for operations in Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and suppliers to ensure purchases meet technical and quality standards, cost targets, and delivery commitments.

The successful candidate must be based in Venezuela with at least 5 years in industrial procurement, strong negotiating skills, and experience with ERP

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in industrial, manufacturing, or technical procurement.
• Experience purchasing industrial components, machinery, technical materials, and specialized services.
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, supplier development, quality, logistics, and inventory management.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and engineering requirements.
• Proven advanced negotiation skills in pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery conditions, and supplier agreements.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for communication with international suppliers and stakeholders.
• Residence in Venezuela is required, with ability to support operations across Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia.

Responsabilidades

• Manage end-to-end purchasing of industrial materials, equipment, subcontracted components, and specialized services.
• Apply Just-in-Time purchasing principles to maintain material availability while optimizing inventory levels.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and engineering requirements to ensure purchased items meet internal and customer standards.
• Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, delivery conditions, and service-level agreements to maximize profitability and supply reliability.
• Support Commercial Operations and Service Centers during the quotation stage by securing competitive pricing and lead-time commitments.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, logistics, import processes, and intercompany orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, resolve supply-chain issues, and support alignment between purchasing strategy and business objectives.

Job Summary:

Flowserve is seeking a technically strong Buyer to manage the procurement of industrial materials, equipment, subcontracted components, and specialized services for operations in Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia. This role will partner with Engineering, Operations, Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, and suppliers to ensure purchases meet technical requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery commitments. The Buyer will own the supplier portfolio, support quotation activities, strengthen strategic sourcing initiatives, and contribute to improved profitability and on-time delivery. The successful candidate must be based in Venezuela and able to operate effectively in a multi-country environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with strong technical purchasing experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical project procurement.

• Experience purchasing industrial components, machinery, technical materials, and specialized services.

• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, supplier development, quality, logistics, and inventory management.

• Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, drawings, and engineering requirements.

• Proven advanced negotiation skills in pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery conditions, and supplier agreements.

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency for communication with international suppliers and stakeholders.

• Residence in Venezuela is required , along with adaptability, assertive communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support operations across Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia.
