Job summary

Shell in Venezuela is seeking an Experienced Reservoir Engineer to lead maturation, development, execution and operation of offshore gas developments across the Plataforma Deltana and cross-border projects with Trinidad and Tobago.

You will provide reservoir engineering leadership across exploration, development planning, reserves governance, production forecasting and uncertainty analysis, working with multidisciplinary teams to maximize value.

Qualifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in Venezuela.
• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience with gas reservoirs and offshore developments.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop reservoir management plans for offshore gas assets.
• Generate production forecasts, reserves estimates and recovery assessments.
• Support maturation of field development plans from concept to execution.
• Build reservoir simulation models and conduct sensitivity analyses.
• Collaborate with geoscientists to update static and dynamic reservoir models.
• Provide input for government submissions, development plans and partner discussions.
• Assess production constraints and identify debottlenecking opportunities.
