BairesDev is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Databricks) to design scalable data pipelines and lakehouse models. The role emphasizes building reliable data assets and production-ready data products, with a focus on performance and governance.

You will leverage Databricks, Apache Spark, dbt, and SQL to deliver high-throughput data solutions in a 100% remote environment, while communicating effectively in English.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Data or Software Engineering with data-focused responsibilities.
• Proven design and optimization of data pipelines in Databricks lakehouse environments.
• Strong experience orchestrating workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Hands-on data transformation and modeling using dbt and SQL.
• Ability to build scalable analytics-ready datasets and robust data products.
• Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Architect and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and Spark.
• Design durable data models within a Medallion Architecture (Bronze-Silver-Gold).
• Orchestrate complex workflows with Airflow to ensure data freshness.
• Transform data with dbt and SQL into production-ready datasets.
• Optimize performance and manage compute resources through partitioning and tuning.
• Implement data quality checks and governance across the lakehouse.
