Job Summary

At our company, we’re on a mission to bring fairness and transparency to the world of contracts—and we’re looking for a Semi Senior Accountant to help bring that same clarity to our financial operations. You’ll play a key role in managing our day-to-day accounting, supporting strategic decision-making, and building scalable processes as we grow.In this role, you’ll own core accounting functions like AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close, while also partnering closely with leadership to prepare financial reports and forecasts. You’ll help us stay compliant, optimize systems like QuickBooks or Xero, and build out the playbooks and automations that support a high-performing, fast-moving startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Own our day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
• Implement and manage accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
• Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership and investors
• Support cash flow forecasting, budget tracking, and financial planning
• Ensure tax, regulatory, and compliance obligations are met
• Partner with external vendors (payroll, tax, legal, etc.)
• Help build scalable processes, including playbooks and automations
• Contribute to business strategy with financial insights and data
  
  

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience (startup experience a plus)
• Proficient in US GAAP, Excel/Sheets, and accounting software
• Enjoy rolling up your sleeves and creating order from chaos
• Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity
• Can communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance folks
• Are comfortable with change, ambiguity, and rapid iteration
  
  

Preferred Skills

• CPA, or experience preparing financials for audits or fundraising
• Experience with FP&A, investor decks, or grant reporting
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics, equity compensation, or revenue recognition
  
  

What We Offer

10 days of PTO per year

5 floating holidays (US or local, chosen by the employee) per year

Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm PST

Compensation: 1,200 - 2,000 usd/month (depending on full-time or part-time arrangement)
