Latvia-based startup seeks a finance professional to own accounting and financial operations, leveraging AI agents to support work. Responsibilities include daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, closing, and tax reporting.

You will lead the end-to-end migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including data preparation, configuration, imports, validation and go-live, with no external partners. Strong English required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing full accounting cycle in one or more European countries.
• Experience with accounting, taxation and statutory reporting for Latvia/European requirements.
• Hands-on setup and configuration of Dynamics 365 BC for live operations, including migration.
• Ability to translate business needs into proper accounting configuration and verify postings and reports.
• Experience using AI agents or AI-assisted automation in finance, including supervising outputs.

Responsabilités

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, AP/AR, invoicing, expenses and reconciliations.
• Perform month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and supporting docs.
• Configure and maintain Dynamics 365 BC and related setups (COA, VAT, banking, periods).
• Execute migration from QuickBooks to Business Central, including data prep, mapping, imports and go-live.
• Prepare Latvian tax and statutory reporting (VAT, CIT, payroll obligations).
• Manage international customers, suppliers, and cross-border transactions.
• Oversee cash-flow forecasts, budgets and management reporting.
• Configure and supervise AI agents in accounting workflows; verify outputs.
