The People and Culture Associate (G-6) in the UNICEF Venezuela country office will provide comprehensive support across all administrative areas of the People & Culture function. Reporting to the People & Culture Officer, this role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. The associate will contribute to business partnering efforts, assist in processing entitlements and benefits for local staff, and support recruitment and placement activities. Additionally, the position involves contributing to organization design and job classification, supporting learning and capacity development initiatives, and providing general office support. This role is key to maintaining efficient HR operations and enhancing the employee experience within the country office, ultimately contributing to UNICEF's mission for children in Venezuela.
The People and Culture Associate will support business partnering by providing HR administrative assistance to designated units. A key responsibility includes assisting in the processing of entitlements and benefits for local staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role also involves supporting recruitment and placement processes, from advertisement to onboarding. Furthermore, the associate will contribute to organization design and job classification efforts, maintaining HR records and documentation. Support for learning and capacity development activities, such as coordinating training sessions and tracking participation, is also expected. General office support, including managing HR files, responding to routine inquiries, and assisting with HR-related events, will be part of the daily duties. The associate will also assist in data extraction and formatting for HR analytics and reporting, and help in resolving operational HR problems. Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, and good judgment in all HR-related matters is essential for this position.
Completed secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization. A Bachelor degree in any area related to social sciences or human resources is an asset.
A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience is required. Relevant areas may include Human Resources, recruitment and selection, benefits and entitlements, learning and development, performance management, job classification, workforce planning, employee experience, change management, HR analytics, or other related fields. Experience with talent management systems is desirable.
