BairesDev is seeking a Senior Python Data Engineer to build automated ETL/ELT pipelines from EMR/EHR systems and load data into a HIPAA‑compliant central database. You will design MySQL schemas, work with REST APIs and healthcare data standards (FHIR/HL7), and apply AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development.

The role is fully remote with international scope, offering advanced English communication and opportunities to impact healthcare data onboardings and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

8+ years data engineering experience required.
Strong Python expertise required.
Experience with EMR/EHR data sources and healthcare standards is essential.
Advanced English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

Design and build automated ETL/ELT pipelines from EMR/EHR sources.
Load data into HIPAA‑compliant centralized databases.
Design and tune MySQL schemas for performance and scalability.
Integrate with REST APIs and standards like FHIR/HL7.
Use AI-assisted coding tools in daily development and verify AI output.
Troubleshoot and maintain pipelines as new sources onboard.
