Overview
We are seeking an experienced, well-connected, and results-driven Industry Sales Director to lead and drive the sales performance of ICT solutions within the Financial Services sector in Venezuela. This role is pivotal to our strategic expansion and requires a leader with a deep understanding of the local banking industry, exceptional customer relationship management skills, and a proven track record of success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the sales strategy and annual business plan for the Financial Services sector (focusing on Banking) in Panama, ensuring sales targets and market share objectives are achieved.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and deepening of strategic partnerships with key local bank and financial institution clients (especially at the decision-maker, CTO, CIO level), becoming their trusted advisor.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer business needs, challenges, and future development plans. Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to align Huawei's ICT products and solutions with customer requirements, providing competitive industry solutions.
- Accurately grasp technology trends and business processes in the banking sector and effectively communicate the value of Huawei's solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process from opportunity identification, solution development, commercial negotiation, to contract signing, managing the entire process for major projects.
- Closely monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry policy changes, providing timely adjustments to sales strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred. We value proven ability and experience above formal qualifications.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales or pre-sales within the ICT industry, with at least 5 years recently focused on serving local banking clients in Panama.
- Must possess a deep understanding of banking business processes and IT architecture, with profound knowledge and a proven track record of successful projects related to banking network infrastructure or storage solutions.
- Essential to have prior experience in a sales or pre-sales role
- Proven track record of successfully closing large-scale project sales and managing large key accounts.
- Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation skills, communication, and executive-level customer relationship building capabilities.
- Strong team player, able to effectively lead virtual teams (including pre-sales, post-sales, channel management, etc.).
- Fluency in Spanish and proficient communication skills in English (both written and verbal) are mandatory.
