Job summary

IOM in Caracas, Venezuela, seeks a National Programme Officer (Health) to bolster emergency health response and strengthen the Migration Health Division’s capacity in assessment, analysis, monitoring and reporting.

The officer will contribute to health interventions that are beneficial, accessible and equitable for migrants and mobile populations, coordinating with national authorities and partners to ensure effective implementation.

Qualifications

• University degree and four years of relevant humanitarian project management experience.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and data analysis; strong writing and synthesis skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently with innovative information gathering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor and evaluate emergency health interventions in coordination with project teams.
• Conduct health risk and vulnerability analyses to identify public health needs and gaps.
• Coordinate rapid needs assessments and analyze findings for operational decisions.
• Support reporting, capacity-building and contingency planning with health partners.
