Chevron Corp. is seeking a Buyer to lead procurement processes, including vendor sourcing, purchasing, and expediting to ensure optimal TCO and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate international suppliers, manage master agreements, and apply tools like GEP SMART, SAP or JDE, while aligning with safety and compliance standards. English and Spanish fluency are required for the local business environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in SCM, procurement, materials management, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret procurement data and convert findings into actionable sourcing and contracting recommendations.
• Experience applying or administering master agreements for the acquisition of materials.
• Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers located outside the country and coordinate effectively across time zones, cultures, and logistics interfaces.
• Knowledge of RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, expediting, and post‑award administration.
• Proficiency with procurement and ERP tools such as GEP SMART, SAP, or JDE, as applicable.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Spanish proficiency is also required for the local business environment.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute annual procurement plans, aligning sourcing strategies with operational and business priorities.
• Select and apply the appropriate Terms and Conditions templates based on scope, commercial model, and risk level.
• Prepare and coordinate bid packages and RFQs, ensuring that technical and commercial requirements are clearly defined.
• Identify, assess, and recommend suppliers for materials and equipment based on capability, quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
• Procure standard, commercially available materials and issue purchase orders per negotiated terms.
• Coordinate PO award and post-award administration, including QA, expediting, change management, and supplier performance monitoring.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure delivery as per specs and schedule.
• Manage international suppliers and cross-border procurement activities, including documentation and logistics interfaces.
• Apply procurement processes and tools (GEP SMART, SAP/JDE) and administer master agreements (IMAs) as applicable.
• Use agile methods to manage priorities and drive procurement process improvements.
