Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operational Excellence Senior Specialist for our Callao depot in Lima, Peru. The role centers on driving lean initiatives, standardizing processes, and delivering measurable improvements with frontline teams.

You will lead field assessments, promote 5S, RCA, SMED, and GEMBA, and collaborate with site leaders to implement disciplined, data‑driven improvements in safety, productivity, and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Civil, Logistics, Chemical, or related fields).
• Minimum 5 years in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or process improvement.
• Experience implementing Lean methodologies in operational environments.
• Exposure to container depots, logistics, or industrial operations is a plus.
• Strong English (Intermediate to advanced) and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply and promote Lean methodologies including 5S, RCA, SMED, GEMBA, and other structured problem‑solving tools.
• Facilitate the creation, implementation, and monitoring of improved work standards and operating procedures.
• Identify improvement opportunities in operational efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety through regular field visits and data analysis.
• Partner with site leaders, team leaders, and supervisors to co‑create improvement initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor and change agent to frontline operations, building credibility and alignment.
• Support training initiatives around Lean principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Promote a culture of operational discipline, problem‑solving, and standardization across the site.
