Overview

This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with a Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM, partial remote/hybrid schedule located at our Scripps Business Office in 4S Ranch/Rancho Bernardo. Organization and Services

Scripps Health Plan Services (SHPS) is a health plan that is licensed by the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC). Our Knox-Keene Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) license allows us to function as an HMO. We partner with fully licensed HMOs that operate within our service area. Our role is to provide comprehensive health care services to our enrolled membership. Health care services are provided by SHPS’ integrated network of participating contracted providers (hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers). SHPS provides managed care services to the following medical groups:

  • Scripps Clinic Medical Group (SCMG)
  • Scripps Coastal Medical Center (SCMC)
  • Scripps Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Center (SCTSC)
  • SHPS also adjudicates some institutional claims for Mercy Physicians Medical Group (MPMG), Primary Care Associates Medical Group (PCAMG), and Scripps Physicians Medical Group (SPMG)

As an Executive Assistant, you will perform full clerical, administrative, and general office duties in a responsible and confidential manner. In this role, primary duties will involve meeting coordination, the taking and organizing of minutes, and advanced usage of Microsoft Office Suite for data management and disbursement.

Key duties

  • Being responsible for the overall management of the executives’ calendars, organizing and expediting the flow of work through the executive's office and initiating any follow-up action, frequently accessing highly confidential information and files.
  • Communicating with contacts at all levels in the organization, industry, and community.
  • Having an understanding of the executive's job and method of operation, in addition to the operations and procedures of their department(s) and organization and communicating executive's instructions or desires to various individuals and/or departments and furnishing and obtaining information from other executives.
  • Making arrangements for meetings, conferences, and travel. Organizing and maintaining files of correspondence and records, following up on pending matters. Preparing special reports, gathering and summarizing data, and creating presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • Ability to quickly and effectively handle multiple priorities and assignments while maintaining professional composure
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent discernment or problem solving skills and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and high level of personal accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Highly dynamic individual with excellent organization and communication skills
  • Expertise in Outlook Calendar, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Prior experience supporting corporate executives
