Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities.
• Supervise less experienced staff working on projects.
• Interact with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
• Serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices.
• Engage in business development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development.
• Fill the role of Project Manager for selected electrical projects.

Qualifications:

• Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industries.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities.
• Good working knowledge of the NEC and related codes.
• AutoCAD experience is a must; Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable.
• Prior project leadership experience is required; leadership experience in major projects is desired.
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs.
• Good communication skills, including interaction with clients and contractors.
