Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes consultant to lead deployments and provide architectural direction. The role requires deep experience with OpenShift 4, IPI/UPI, and cloud integrations across on-prem VMware and Azure.

The ideal candidate will optimize performance post-migration, implement GitOps with Argo CD, and guide teams on best practices for OpenShift data services, logging, and monitoring. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Architected and deployed private OpenShift Kubernetes on on-prem VMware and Azure.
• Integrated Red Hat SSO and LDAP/AD for enterprise user management.
• Post-migration performance tuning and bottleneck identification.
• Implement GitOps with Argo CD for Day 2 operations.
• Integrate OpenShift Data Foundation storage for scalable data services.
• Provide guidance on OpenShift deployment and management.
• Design and deploy Fluentd or Logstash for log aggregation.
• Develop Splunk log parsing configs for Kubernetes logs.
• Leverage Splunk monitoring for proactive alerts on clusters.
• Manage RH OpenShift on Azure for multiple microservices and databases.

ARO (AzureRed HatOpenShift, AKS (AzureKubernetes Service). This org is going through a migration project, and they need a "hands on consultant". Not looking for a guy that they can train - need a guy that comes in that already knows the platforms capabilities so this can be a trusted resource-a hired gun if you will help give direction. Don't need a developer - need someone that can provide guidance, who has led multiple deployments ofOpenShift Container Platform 4 using IPI and UPI Installation strategies.

OpenShift/Kubernetes platformand best practices for cluster deployments to the team. An ideal candidate should have excellent technical credentials, experience in containers, networking, storage, compute, cloud infrastructure design and implementation, and excellent communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Architected and deployed customized privateOpenShift Kubernetes on on-premises VMWareenvironment and onAzurecloud using Red Hat best practices.
  
• IntegratedRed Hat Single Sign‑On, LDAP/Active Directory realms with OCP authenticationfor enterprise model user management.
  
• Post‑migration, honed application performance by pinpointing bottlenecks, adjusting resources, and harnessingOpenShift's innate tools and features.
  
• Streamline Day 2 operations by implementingGitOps principles with Argo CDonOpenShift, enabling automatic reconciliation and ensuring environment consistency.
  
• IntegrateOpenShift Data Foundation with enterprise-grade, software‑defined storage to facilitate scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data services across the organization.
  
• Streamline data management by integrating the comprehensive data services ofOpenShift Data Foundation, offering data resiliency, data protection, and efficient data mobility.
  
• Provided technical guidance on best practices forOpenShift deployment and management, leading to improvements in system stability, visibility, and scalability.
